ETFE powder is one of the forms in which ETFE resin exists, it is often processed by electrostatic spraying technology, to form a uniform coating on the substrates surface.
ETFE electrostatic spraying coat the rigid substrate with a protective layer that combines flexibility and weather resistance. And the coating thickness can be precisely controlled according to requirements—from an ultra-thin 50μm layer to an ultra-thick 1000μm layer.
Pre-treatment: Sandblasting (e.g., Sa2.5 grade) and degreasing of metal, ceramic and other substrates ensure a rough and clean surface, improving coating adhesion;
Spraying and film formation: Electrostatic spraying of charged ETFE powder onto a grounded substrate;
Sintering and curing: At a high temperature of 300℃ (some require nitrogen protection), the coating fully levels and cross-links, forming a dense protective layer.
Outstanding weather resistance
ETFE spraying coating can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -200℃ to 150℃, and will not yellow, crack, or degrade even under strong UV radiation, acid rain, or high humidity.
Extreme corrosion resistance
For reaction vessels and pipelines in industries such as petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals, strong acids, strong alkalis, and organic solvents are "everyday threats." ETFE spraying coating can form a dense molecular barrier, preventing corrosive media from penetrating into the substrate.
Non-stick , easy to clean
ETFE coatings have extremely low surface tension , resulting in strong oleophobic and hydrophobic properties, making them ideal for medical devices and food processing equipment.
