PVDF Fluorocarbon Coating

PVDF fluorocarbon coating is the most durable architectural coating, with PVDF resin accounting for ≥70% of the total resin content. The coatings possess superior stability, non-powdering and unfading, and its service life up to 20 years. It has superior performance compared to any other coating.

PVDF fluorocarbon coating mainly has two process methods, roller coating and spray coating.

  • Roller coating is mainly used for honeycomb panels, composite panels, and aluminum square tubes. It is a pressure-printed coating process that generating a non-particulate, non-micropore, smooth, and pollution-free coating film. The entire process is automated, which eliminates temperature and color differences, and achieving a paint utilization rate of over 99%. Roller coating offers a wider variety of colors and patterns than spray coating, capable of printing various designs.

  • Spray coating is mainly used for aluminum single panels, aluminum square tubes and other aluminum profiles. It is an electrostatic float coating, and the entire coating film surface is composed of particle accumulation, with micropores. Its advantage is to spray irregularly shaped panels and hyperboloid panels.

PVDF fluorocarbon coating plays the important role in our architectural decoration life. Choosing the qualified PVDF resin is necessary for high performance paint coating.

Uflon’s UF-0211 is the homopolymer of vinylidene fluoride (VDF) whose purity is ≥99.99%, it mainly used for coating. Fluorocarbon coatings made from 70% UF-0211 PVDF resin show unparalleled weather resistance and processing performance. It fully complies with American Building Materials Standard AAMA2605 and our national industry standard HG/T3793-2019.
