PTFE fine powder has fiber-forming property, under shear force, the fine PTFE particles can form a mesh structure of a certain strength. During processing, in order to reduce resistance and prevent damage to its fiber structure, it is necessary to add a certain amount of extrusion aid (for lubrication). Typically, evenly mix liquid hydrocarbon extrusion aid with the fine PTFE powder to form a paste, which is then molded into a preform, the preform is put into the feed chamber of a press to form the final shape by paste extrusion. PTFE tube is frequently processed by this.

  • Straight tube forming

    The paste extrusion tube formed by mixing PTFE fine powder with extrusion aid is green tube. The green tube is prone to longitudinal cracking when bent by external force, and the cracks cannot be eliminated during the sintering process. This requires the PTFE fine powder must have high fiber-forming properties, which is even more important for the molding of large-diameter tubes. After sintering and quenching, PTFE green tubes achieve a certain mechanical strength. 

  • Pressure Hose

    PTFE pressure hose is a type of tubing that is resistant to high temperatures, high pressures, and highly corrosive liquids or gases. A pressure hose consists of three parts: PTFE inner tube, steel wire reinforcement layer, and metal fitting.
