PTFE molding process is widely used in PTFE products fabrication. It is not mainly used for manufacturing finished, complex parts. On the contrary, PTFE molding mainly for dense, stable, and simple block shapes, such as bars, sheets, or tubes, as high-quality semi-finished parts for subsequent CNC machining to achieve precise final dimensions products.
Load PTFE molding powder into a mold evenly and press at room temperature (typically 10MPa~50MPa) to form the initial shape. The molded part is then heated in furnace to sinter, slowly heated to about 370°C. After sintering, cooled it very slowly to room temperature, preventing cracks and internal stress.
Suitable for Block Shapes
Molding excels in producing simple, thick-walled geometries. It is the most efficient method for manufacturing sheets, bars, blocks, and large sealing gaskets.
Precursor to Precision Machining
The molding parts are then milled or turned on CNC machine to achieve the final precise dimensions.
This two-step method (post-molding machining) is generally more economical and efficient than directly molding complex PTFE parts.

It is used to make large rod, sheet, turning products, due to low metal ion precipitation performance, it is usually processed into cleaning tank, pipe lining etc in semiconductor field.
